WWE plans for WrestleMania 37 revealed with Roman Reigns, Bad Bunny, Edge and Sasha Banks having plans
WrestleMania 37 is just under two months away and the card is yet to officially take shape.
Of course, WWE are laying the groundwork for the bulk of the matches at the top of the card and speculation continues to run riot.
Edge and Bianca Belair were the respective winners of the Royal Rumble this year for the men and women, but they are yet to make it clear which champion on which brand they will challenge.
WrestleMania is usually the season where part-time stars return and some legends make an appearance, but during a global pandemic, it seems like WWE might have to dial it back on that front.
So what are the big matches they’ve got planned? According to WrestleVotes, they have only a few mapped out.
“Conversation with a source recently stated the latest WrestleMania creative meeting had Edge v Reigns, Belair v Banks, Orton v Wyatt, Bad Bunny Tag on the books w/ nearly everything else open, including the WWE title matchup. Same source stressed nothing is set in stone however.”
Dave Meltzer had previously reported that Edge is likely to choose Roman Reigns to challenge at WrestleMania and it seems that would be the logical direction to take if WWE are looking for the biggest match they can book.
Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks is also a no-brainer when it comes to the big women’s title match-up. Asuka has had a long reign, but not as exciting as many would have hoped.
Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt have been feuding for months now and one would think a cinematic match at WrestleMania a la what Bray did with Cena would make sense.
Bad Bunny has also had a rip-roaring start to life in WWE and he will likely be involved in a tag match at WrestleMania in Tampa.
Common sense it will be with Damien Priest against The Miz and John Morrison at this stage.
That does leave the champions on RAW wide open. For Drew McIntyre, there’s been talk of Goldberg getting another shot or WWE carrying the Sheamus story all the way to WrestleMania.
For Asuka, Charlotte Flair seems like an immediate idea, but Rhea Ripley might make sense if her call-up comes to fruition too.
