Martin Lewis: Money Saving Expert says Premium Bonds best saving option – full details | Personal Finance | Finance
Who are Premium Bonds likely to be a winner for right now?
Martin detailed that while Premium Bonds may not offer high returns, they still provide better options than the majority of savings accounts.
Currently, Martin pointed out that the top normal savings deals pay just 0.6 percent for easy-access accounts, with this rising to 0.8 percent for fixed.
As Martin detailed: “While most people will win less than the one percent Premium Bond (PB) prize fund rate, many will still earn more than the top 0.5 percent easy-access savings rate.
“That’s a fair comparison, as Premium Bonds are ‘no-notice’, meaning it should normally take two to three working days to withdraw money, though it has had some customer service issues.
